Why don't you list the contractors' names or contact info?
We keep our partners' details private and make the introduction ourselves, so you're matched to the right contractor for your specific project rather than left to sort through options. Once we've matched you, we connect you directly with that builder.
What kinds of projects can you match a contractor for?
New construction, remodeling, retrofits, additions, and ADUs — residential and light commercial, large or small.
How do I know the builder is licensed and insured?
Check for yourself, before you sign anything — and ask any builder, not only one we introduce. Request their Home Improvement Contractor registration number, their Construction Supervisor Licence number, and a current certificate of insurance naming you. Massachusetts publishes both registers, so both are verifiable in a few minutes. We introduce builders who have worked from our drawings; we do not certify their credentials, and a registration that was current last year may not be current today.
Do I have to use Lebra for engineering to get a referral?
No — but when Lebra engineers and permits the project, your contractor starts from coordinated, buildable plans, which usually means a smoother, more predictable build.
Before You Ask for an Introduction

What This Is, and What It Is Not

Worth two minutes, because it sets out exactly where our responsibility ends.

  • We introduce. We do not select, supervise, or stand behind the builder. We can tell you how many projects a builder has built from our drawings. That is a fact about our own records, and it is the only thing we are in a position to vouch for.
  • Your contract is with the builder, not with Lebra. We have no authority over their price, schedule, workmanship or warranty, and no responsibility for any of it.
  • Check their credentials yourself before you sign. Ask for the Home Improvement Contractor registration, the Construction Supervisor Licence, and a current certificate of insurance naming you. Both registers are public. Do this for any builder, including ones we introduce — registrations lapse, and nobody is notified when they do.
  • Our engineering role does not change. We are the engineer of record. Where we are engaged to observe construction or sign a construction control document, we do that independently of who is building — which is exactly why we introduce builders rather than choose them for you.

Why we do this at all: a builder who has worked from our drawings asks fewer questions and prices more accurately. That makes the project run better, which is the whole of our interest in it. We are not in the construction business.
